Terms of Use
Balltelligence (the iPhone app and balltelligence.com) · Effective October 7, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Kyle Slate, an individual developer ("we", "us") about your use of Balltelligence, including the iPhone app, the website at balltelligence.com and any related versions (together, "Balltelligence"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Accepting these terms
By using Balltelligence, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. If you got the iPhone app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where it conflicts with these terms on the subject of the app license, Apple's agreement controls to the extent it requires.
2. Who can use Balltelligence
Balltelligence isn't directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you.
3. Accounts
You can play without an account. If you sign in with Google (iPhone and website) or Apple (iPhone), you're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your Google or Apple login secure. You may have only one account per person, and you may not sign in as someone else. You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you used Sign in with Apple, deleting your account also asks Apple to disconnect Balltelligence from your Apple Account; if that step fails, the app tells you how to do it yourself.
4. Display names and what you submit
Your display name appears publicly on the leaderboards. So does any name you type into a challenge link, for anyone you send the link to. You're responsible for them. Don't use a name that:
- is hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or otherwise offensive;
- pretends to be another person, a player, a team, a league or us;
- contains someone else's personal information, a web address, or advertising;
- infringes someone else's rights or breaks the law.
You keep any rights you have in what you submit. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display and use it, but only to run Balltelligence. For example, we show your display name and scores on the leaderboards.
5. Leaderboard conduct
Leaderboards are meant to be fair and friendly. You agree not to:
- cheat. That includes using bots, scripts or automation, changing or replaying data sent to our server, exploiting bugs, or using more than one account to inflate scores;
- interfere with Balltelligence, our server or other players, or try to get around any limits or protections;
- scrape or copy Balltelligence or its data in bulk;
- harass other players.
When you're signed in, you can report another player's leaderboard entry (for their name, cheating, or another reason) or block that player so you no longer see them on your leaderboards. You can unblock them later in Settings › Account › Blocked players. Leaderboards show initials, not photos, and names that fail our offensive-word check aren't accepted or are replaced with a default name. We aim to review reports within 7 days, but we don't promise to act on every report. The Privacy Policy explains what a report stores.
We may change or remove any display name, remove any score or leaderboard entry, or suspend or delete any account, if we believe it breaks these terms or harms other players or Balltelligence. We may do this without notice. If we change your display name, it may be replaced with a default name.
6. Remove Ads purchase
The iPhone app offers a one-time Remove Ads purchase. It turns off the ads between games. Optional ads that you choose to watch for an extra hint stay available. The price is shown in the App Store before you buy.
Apple processes the payment. Apple's terms govern payment, billing and refunds, so ask Apple for any refund. A purchase is tied to your Apple Account, not to your Balltelligence account. If you reinstall or change devices, use Restore Purchases in Settings › Ads. Remove Ads applies only to the iPhone app.
7. Ads
Balltelligence may show ads from third parties such as Google. We don't control or endorse the products or services those ads promote. Your dealings with advertisers are between you and them. If you see an ad that seems inappropriate, use "Report this ad" (under the ad on the website, in the brief prompt after a full-screen ad closes, or "Report an ad" in Settings › Ads on iPhone). It opens our support page with the ad unit and time filled in, and you send the report to us by email. See the Privacy Policy for how ads use information.
8. Our content, and third-party data
Balltelligence, including its software, design, text and graphics, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Balltelligence for your own non-commercial entertainment, under these terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse engineer Balltelligence, except where the law allows it.
Some player and historical information comes from third-party sources under their own licenses. The required notices and attributions are in the app's Legal screen (Settings › About › Legal), and those licenses apply to that material.
League, team and player names, and any related marks, belong to their owners. We use names only to describe players' careers, and we claim no rights in them. Balltelligence is a fan-made game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any league, team, players' association or player.
Player information may be incomplete or out of date. It's provided for entertainment.
9. Disclaimers
Balltelligence is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. These include warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We don't promise that Balltelligence will always be available or error-free, or that your progress, streaks or scores will never be lost. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we and our licensors won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. That includes any loss of data, progress, profits or goodwill arising from Balltelligence or these terms. Our total liability for any claim relating to Balltelligence or these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Balltelligence in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using Balltelligence and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access, or stop offering Balltelligence or any part of it, at any time. Sections 4 (the license you give us, until your content is deleted), 8, 9, 10, 13 and 14 continue after your use ends.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If you keep using Balltelligence after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
13. General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Balltelligence. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a part right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
