Balltelligence's MLB game asks you to name a mystery baseball player. In Classic you get 8 guesses at a current player, and every guess shows seven clue tiles. In Legacy you name an all-time great from MLB history in 3 guesses.

Who can be the answer?

• Daily: one of 48 current MLB stars. Everyone gets the same player that day.
• Free Play: pick a pool when a round starts: Stars (48 players), Regulars (166) or Full roster (1092). It locks in with your first guess.
• Any guess: you can guess anyone on a current roster, all 1092 of them, even when they can't be the answer.

Reading the MLB clue tiles

Each guess fills a row: Team, LG, Div, Pos, Ht, Age and #. Green means an exact match. Yellow means close: height, age or number within 2, or a position in the same group. Gray means no match, and arrows show whether the answer is higher or lower.

• Team: the team's abbreviation (see the list below). Green or gray only.
• LG: AL or NL (the league: American or National).
• Div: the division, shortened, for example AL E, AL C or AL W.
• Pos: green for the same position, yellow for the same position group:
  • Pitchers: SP (starting pitcher), RP (relief pitcher)
  • Catchers: C (catcher)
  • Infielders: 1B (first baseman), 2B (second baseman), 3B (third baseman), SS (shortstop), IF (infielder)
  • Outfielders: LF (left fielder), CF (center fielder), RF (right fielder), OF (outfielder)
  • Designated hitters: DH (designated hitter)
• Ht, Age, #: height, age today and jersey number, with arrows.

After 3 guesses you can take up to 3 hints (the draft and country, then initials, then the jersey badge). Hard mode hides LG and Div and turns hints off.

MLB Legacy

Legacy picks a retired MLB legend. You see the number, the first and last seasons, every team and the career honors (All-Star selections, World Series titles and awards). Each miss unlocks a clue written by us. The game has 228 hand-picked MLB legends, and 153 of the best known can be the Legacy Daily. In Legacy Free Play, choose the eras you want, from the 1920s to the 2020s.
