Always a star from the current season: 59 NBA, 46 NFL, 48 NHL and 48 MLB players. You can guess anyone on a current roster, but only stars are answers.

Yes. Open Past puzzles on the home screen and pick any earlier Daily for your sport.

On Past answers. Each day is added at noon UTC the next day, once that day's Daily has ended everywhere in the world, so today's puzzle is never spoiled.

Daily is one current player per sport per day, the same for everyone. Free Play gives you unlimited rounds, and you pick how deep into the roster the answers go. Legacy asks you to name a retired great in 3 guesses from their number, years, teams and honors. There's a Legacy Daily too.

Yellow means close. Height, age and jersey number are yellow when they're within 2 of the answer. In the NFL, NHL and MLB, the Pos tile is yellow when your guess plays a position in the same group as the answer, such as a cornerback for a safety.

In the NBA, positions match when they share a letter. G-F shares the F with a forward, so it's green. The NBA Pos tile is never yellow.

They show whether the answer is higher or lower: taller or shorter, older or younger, a bigger or smaller number.

Yes. Turn on Colorblind mode in Settings to use orange and blue instead of green and yellow, on the board and in shared results.

Hard mode hides the Conf and Div tiles and turns hints off. A hard-mode win adds a ⭐ to your shared result.

No. Every mode works without an account, and your games are saved on your device. Signing in is optional: it syncs your stats between devices and puts you on the leaderboards. Playing works offline. Sync, leaderboards and roster updates need a connection.

Open Settings › Account while signed in, tap Delete account and confirm. The support page explains exactly what is deleted, and the privacy policy covers what we store.

Rosters follow the current season and are updated regularly. If a trade or signing is still missing after a few days, please let us know.
